It descends from <a href="https://github.com/quartzjer" target="_blank">Jeremie Miller&rsquo;s</a> original mDNS/mDNS-SD daemon and is a lightweight alternative to <a href="https://www.avahi.org/" target="_blank">avahi</a>, small enough to embed in firmware.</p>
